The Friends welcome you to the One of a Kind Osprey Public Library

This unique library, the first of its kind in Sarasota County, is a small facility located within the Visitors Center of Historic Spanish Point in Osprey, a quiet oasis of old Florida.  The Osprey Public Library also conveys that old Florida feeling — with friendly staff, a comfortable screened porch for Wi-Fi reading, and flexible collections to meet community interests.

Although small in size, the Osprey Public Library provides a place where patrons can:

  • save gas and time when picking up /returning library materials
  • find a quiet, stress-reducing place for reading or using free WIFI
  • catch up on the latest magazines and newspapers
  • chat with the library representative about favorite books and how to access the extensive resources of the Sarasota County Library System – only a click away
